Fitness
Equipment: Not Necessary for Weight
Loss
Nowadays, all
you have to do is turn on the television at three in the
morning to find the ALL various forms of fitness equipment on
the market today. Celebrities everywhere are getting in on the
fitness equipment craze, and everyone has their revolutionary
device that promises to drop inches and pounds. They all
promise the same things, but do they truly
deliver?
When it comes
to fitness equipment, a little something must be considered
before you buy. Before you shell out your hard earned money for
the latest fitness machine that you know will drop those
annoying inches you can’t wait to get rid of, you have to
decide whether or not you’re going to use it.
Everyone that
sells fitness equipment today promises that their machine is
easy to use. Twenty minutes a day, three times per week will
guarantee weight loss and fitness success. However, most people
buy the fitness equipment, use it maybe once or twice, and then
stop. They soon figure out that it does take work and they
don’t see the results fast enough to continue. Blame our
society.
Instant
Gratification
We live in a
microwave society – we want things and we want them now. The
fact about weight loss and fitness is that results don’t happen
overnight. You didn’t gain weight overnight, so how can you
expect to lose it overnight? The reason people stop using the
fitness equipment they likely spent a lot of money acquiring is
because they don’t see results fast enough. The television
commercial or magazine ad lied; they didn’t lose ten inches in
two weeks, so the equipment must not work.
You Don’t
Need Fancy Equipment
Nobody
considers that you don’t need fancy fitness equipment to lose
weight and be fit. All it takes is determination and a slight
change in your lifestyle. Nearly any piece of fitness equipment
will show results if used properly and consistently for three
months. Most people don’t want to wait that long, however. They
want to find some magic pill or device that will make those
pounds melt away. Weight loss doesn’t work that way, or rather;
healthy weight loss doesn’t work that way.
The truth is,
you can improve your fitness and lose weight doing anything
that keeps your heart rate up. Walk around the block every
night for three months and you’ll get way more of a fitness
benefit than the fanciest piece of fitness equipment used one
or two times.
With fitness,
you don’t need fancy fitness equipment. Whether you need to
lose weight or are simply out to improve your health, anything
is better than nothing. The trick is to have patience. It will
happen, it just won’t happen overnight. However, if you stick
with it, you’ll see results before you know it. Then, you won’t
be able to wait to tell people how easy losing weight truly can
be.
